Rathgar Tennis and Bowling Club is a voluntary community club. It’s origins go back to 1985 when discussions between Rathgar Residents Association and Dublin Corporation identified the need to improve the utilization of the public courts on the site. A steering committee was set up to oversee this. The club is situated at Herzog Park, Rathgar and is approximately 150 metres from the main Junction in Rathgar (see map for details). From these early days in 1985 the club has thrived, and the facilities have been steadily improved over the years. We now have an excellent set of ten all-weather well-illuminated courts for our members. We have an active committee, an evolving program of events and in late 2005 we were voted Leinster mid-size club of the year in the annual Eagle Star awards. Not bad for a club with such humble beginnings! Here's how to find us....Come to Rathgar cross roads. Turn into Orwell road (note, no right turn coming from Terenure direction). Once on Orwell road we're on the right and signposted about 150 metres from the corner - just in behind the Bring Centre in Herzog Park.
